All the national Economics Olympiads already know their winners, which means only one thing – the International Final.
The International Economics Olympiad is taking place from 16th to 18th September. The best 5 students from each participating country will compete to be the most talented young economist among almost 30 000 high school students. From the last year, the Economics Olympiad has grown, and new countries are participating in the IEO. Apart from all Visegrad Four countries, also Bosnia and Herzegovina, China, Greece, and Vietnam have become a part of the project.
The International Economics Olympiad will start on 16 September with a written test which will be conducted online. On the following day, an online panel discussion will be held on the topic of “How the COVID crisis affected international trade and how to build resilience for similar situations?”.

- Bogusław Fiedor, Vice President of the Polish Economic Society and Professor at Wroclaw University of Economics and Business
- Tamás József Kozák, President of the Trade Section of the Hungarian Economic Association, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Commerce of Budapest Business School
- Panagiotis Liargovas, President of the Centre of Planning and Economic Research, Professor at Department of Economics of University of Peloponnese
The whole discussion starting at 10:00 (GMT+2) will be streamed via YouTube.
On the last day, 18 September, a grand finale will take place with the top 10 students from the written test taking part. Participants will measure their knowledge in an oral exam, which will be held online in front of a committee.
