The International Final Round of the Economics Olympiad Concludes with 147 Students from 32 Countries
The International Final Round (IFR) of the Economics Olympiad has come to a close, and what an incredible event it was! This year, 147 high school students from 32 countries gathered at the historic International Olympic Academy in Olympia, Greece for a celebration of economics, culture, and international friendship.

After days of exams, presentations, and teamwork, the top 10 international champions emerged:

In the delegation awards, Chinese Taipei won National Delegation of the Year, followed by Americas Challenge 2 in 2nd place and United Kingdom in 3rd.
🏅 Celebrating Teachers and Organizers
The Olympiad also honored the people who make this global competition possible:

National Organizer of the Year: Nataliya Melnik from Ukraine’s Bendukidze Free Market Center, for increasing school-round participation from 18,627 to 27,952 students.

Teacher of the Year: Viktoriia Rudyk of Separated Structural Subdivision “Agrarian and Economic Professional College of Poltava State Agrarian University”, Ukraine, who engaged 678 students in the Economics Olympiad – more than any other teacher in 2025-2026.
💡 Learning Beyond the Competition
The program featured inspiring guest sessions from Dr. Eamonn Butler, who spoke on the 250th anniversary of Adam Smith’s The Wealth of Nations, and Dr. Theodoros Skylakakis, former Minister of Environment and Energy of Greece, offering students valuable perspectives from leading voices in economics and public life.
🎭 Culture & Campus Life
Beyond the academic program, students explored the historic sites of Ancient Olympia and experienced Greek culture and traditions, building friendships and connections that extended far beyond the competition itself.
